Certified trainers from around the world provide live training segments on various Nonviolent Communication topics. We place 8-10 new training segments on NVC Live! each month, which are available to our subscribers for $10.00 a month. Additional services offered within the $10.00 a month subscription are Ask the Trainer (where a team of veteran trainers answer specific questions that were posed by our subscribers), Hot Topics Forum (where our subscribers connect with each other about various Nonviolent Communication topics), and Empathy Chat (where subscribers meet to give or receive empathy). Training segments will remain available for about two months before they are rotated out.

What's the difference between NVC Live! and other online classes, or telecourses?
NVC Live! is a monthly subscription service that provides video and audio segments from live NVC trainings, interviews and discussions. Additionally, NVC Live! offers an "Ask the Trainer" feature that allows you to send your question to a team of certified trainers, discussion forums and other benefits. "Online courses" generally have specific subject matter that is taught through a combination of reading, exercises and audio/visual resources. Telecourses are classes that you participate by phoning in to a shared phone line. Telecourses are often supplemented by an online discussion forum and other resources in the online classroom environment.

Beginning January 1st, 2007, NVC Live! begin using Adobe Flash Version 8 as our video playing technology.
If you are not able to view the new segments in your web browser, you may need a newer version of the Adobe Flash Player. Version 8 is the minimum requirement. We highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of your web browser before you upgrade the Adobe Flash Player.
This page at Adobe.com will tell you which version of the Flash Player, if any, that you have installed, and will attempt to update it for you if possible.
You can also find the complete list of Adobe Flash Players at Adobe.com.
Adobe provides a Flash Player Version 8 for most computer systems. However Adobe no longer supports these legacy systems:
- Microsoft Windows 95
- Microsoft Windows NT
- Classic Macintosh version 9 or older (Please note: NVC Live! subscribers have had some success with OS9 using the iCab web browser)
If you are using one of these unsupported operating systems, you may download an MPEG-2 version of the video or listen to the audio MP3.
If you have any questions or would like to give us feedback, please contact Mark Schultz by e-mail, or by phone at 928-204-5555, or by Skype at HowdyMark.

The video keeps stopping during playback.
The NVC Academy has gone to great lengths to make sure your computer can play the videos. Our video player checks your connection speed and streams the best video for your connection. If you have a dial-up connection that uses a modem, we have a video that is designed just for you.
But sometimes, for a variety of reasons, some dial-up connections are just too slow to keep up with the video stream. If you are seeing the message "Buffering, please wait" often, it's likely your dial-up connection won't handle the volume of video information. In that case, you can download the video in MP4 format and play it with Quicktime or iTunes, or on your iPod. You can also download audio only in the popular MP3 format.
