Observation: The Awareness of the Thoughts, Stories, and Core Beliefs to Enhance Connection "Observation" is one session that will be repeated two different times in an effort to accommodate the worldwide NVC community. Monday, July 21, 2008 • 9:30 - 11:30 AM PDT (4:30 PM GMT)—My Time Zone?
We will explore what it means to be conscious and present as opposed to identifying with the stream of unconscious, conditioned thinking and emotional reactions within us. In terms of language, we’ll practice the skill of separating observation from evaluation, peeling away layers of interpretation, story, and judgment until we reach just the simple, observable “facts” of what happened. We’ll also practice a way of relating to thoughts, not as true or false, but rather as internal communicators of precious needs.
Fee: $19 USD: All registrants receive access to a recording of the course. Upon registration, you will receive an e-mail with complete instructions for how to access the call, and suggestions to maximize the benefits of your experience. Questions? Contact our Help Desk

This telecourse will work with the NVC component of observation. In this course we’ll work on strengthening the capacity for mindful presence and awareness of our thinking, as well as developing the skills of translating thoughts into observation and need language.
